Privacy Policy — StockManager

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how the StockManager app (the "App"), developed by Pietro Cangiano, collects and processes your personal data, in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR", Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and with the Apple App Store and Google Play privacy guidelines.

3. Data We Collect

3.1 Account data

  • Email and name/nickname, provided at sign-up to create and manage your account.
  • User identifier linked to your account.

3.2 Inventory data (content you enter)

  • Products, categories, quantities and minimum stock levels, areas, expiry dates.
  • Suppliers and their contact details, orders and price history.
  • Product photos you choose to upload.

This data is stored in your account and shared only with the collaborators you invite to your company.

3.3 Barcode scanning

When you scan a barcode, the App queries the public Open Food Facts database to retrieve a product's name, image, category and allergens. Only the barcode is sent — no personal data.

3.4 Advertising

The free version shows ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and ad usage data. The App requests non-personalized ads only: your data is not used for tracking across other apps or third-party websites.

3.5 Purchases and subscriptions

Purchases (the Pro version) are handled by Apple App Store / Google Play through RevenueCat. We receive your subscription status (active / inactive); we do not process your payment card details, which are handled directly by the store.

3.6 Diagnostics and notifications

  • Crash and performance data, used to improve the App.
  • Local notifications to remind you of product expiry dates (handled on your device).

4. Purposes and Legal Basis

  • Providing the service (inventory, account, orders) — performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Advertising in the free version — legitimate interest / consent (Art. 6(1)(a)/(f) GDPR).
  • Managing purchases and subscriptions — performance of a contract.
  • Security, abuse prevention and improving the App — legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Legal obligations (e.g. tax) — legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

5. Third-Party Services

The App relies on the following providers, each with its own privacy policy:

  • Supabase — database hosting and storage (account, inventory data, photos).
  • Google AdMob — advertising (free version).
  • RevenueCat — purchase and subscription management.
  • Apple / Google — in-app payment processing.
  • Open Food Facts — product information from barcodes.

6. Data Retention

  • Account and inventory data: for as long as you use the App.
  • Billing data (purchases): as required by applicable tax obligations.
  • When you delete your account, the associated data is deleted or anonymized within 30 days.

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data, as well as to withdraw consent.

8. Account and Data Deletion

You can request full deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing support@jkstudios.it from your account address, or via the Support page. Deletion is completed within 30 days.

9. Children

The App is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

10. International Transfers

Some providers may process data outside the European Union. In such cases, transfers are made with appropriate safeguards under Art. 44-46 GDPR (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses).

11. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures (encryption in transit via TLS/SSL, access control) to protect your data. Access security also depends on keeping your credentials confidential.

12. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be indicated by updating the date at the top of this page. Please review it periodically.
